The William Tell House is in the Northwestern section of Marin bordering Sonoma, County,Calif. A saloon in operation since 1877, one of the Oldest saloon in Marin County. In those days Tomales was a bustling little port town, called the "potato country" and ships used to come up the inlet to load cargo. The inlet has now been mainly filled in by land erosion. It seems that everything has changed, except for the WILLIAM TEL HOUSE, Which is a favorite with locals and tourists alike.
